Wedding in Italy

They have chosen Lake Orta to celebrate their wedding in Italy due to the charming of this beautiful place. The scenery is characteristically Italian, the picturesque narrow streets and painted buildings on the main square overlooking the San Giulio Island, is the perfect location to celebrate Katie and Paul wedding.

Civil ceremony

Katie and Paul got ready separately in two different hotels, but very next one to another.
The ceremony was held at Villa Bossi, Orta town hall. It is an ancient 18th-century villa, with a stunning view of Saint Julius island: this is its own greatness of value!
Paul and the groomsmen reached the villa in 2 minutes walk.
Villa Bossi has a stunning garden where the ceremony was celebrated, but what surprised all the guest was its private jetty, that the bride reached, from hotel San Rocco, by a rowing boat.

Lake Orta wedding Photographer / Romantic walk

After the ceremony all the guests went to the main square, where they get on board on two boats for a trip to the island.
At the typical restaurant on the island a welcome aperitif was served, with prosecco and canapés, that bride and groom and their guests enjoyed indeed!
During the aperitif, bride and groom left the restaurant for a while and had a romantic walk just two of them (and – of course! – the Independent Pictures photographer!). At the island there are many romantic places to be discovered and it is the perfect situation for bride and groom to stay on their own; the photographer kept himself far from them in order to preserve the intimate moment.

The reception

After the aperitifs again everyone took the boat to the restaurant Ustaria Ca’ del Rat for wedding dinner and party. From the boat you have a breathtaking view to the beauty of this gorgeous place: the small villas lain by the lake, the green hills and, just behind, the wonderful Alps mountains, everything in few kilometers.
The restaurant is set by the lake and the privileged position gives the best conditions to have an enchanting wedding reception. They had delicious food, an absolute amazing view overlooking the lake from their seat during the dinner, and also an outside party with music.
All the guests enjoyed the wedding and bride and groom smoked good cigars when they realized that everything was perfect!
