Welcome dinner pizza party in Tuscany

Cristina and Daniel are americans but actually Cristina has Italian origins and this is the reason why they chosen Tuscan hills to tie the knot in our beautiful country.
Their top priority was to make some relaxed and fun days for their guests, most of them coming from the US.
Today we start talking about Cristina and Daniel’s welcome dinner, with an amazing pizza party.

Welcome dinner in Tuscany

Borgo Pignano is an elegant venue in the heart of the Tuscan countryside, very next to the historic towns of Volterra and San Gimignano and not very far to Florence too.

The party started with a great welcome cocktail served by an incredible flair bartender.

At Borgo Pignano every guest enjoy an authentic Tuscan experience surrounded by an organic farm,  gardens, olive groves, waterfalls and shaded woodlands, vineyards.

It’s not a rehearsal dinner actually, but just a pre wedding party, a very easy and informal dinner. The purpose was to stay together, bride-and-groom-to-be, with friends and families, the evening before the wedding… and everything was perfect on that night of late September in Italy!

Pizza party

In the meantime a team of pizza makers got ready, with a wood burning oven and all ingredients to suit all tastes, to make the best Italian pizzas. Starting from “Margherita“ the most common pizza in Italy, very simple with tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese, to veg pizzas or pepperoni and so on.

Just be careful: if you are in Italy and ordering a “pepperoni pizza”  you could probably get a pizza with peppers, because “peperoni” in Italian means peppers! So if you want a “pepperoni pizza”, in Italy, you have to ask for pizza with spicy salami!

What better way to entertain families and friends, and get them interested in the food they’re eating than letting bride and groom make pizzas themselves?

So, our opinion is that: looking at the absolutely stunning sunset on Tuscan hills, eating a very delicious pizzas and drinking a glass of good red wine is the best way for sharing happy moments with friends and families. This is the real Italian lifestyle. Very well done Cristina and Daniel!!!
